The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the German Federal Foreign Office warn against all travel to Syria due to unpredictable security conditions, the ongoing threat of terrorist attacks, and high regional tensions. In-country consular support is not available from the British government.
Travel against government advice can invalidate travel insurance policies. Governments advise that anyone choosing to travel must maintain comprehensive contingency and security plans.
