Damascus and Suburbs
The security situation across Syria remains highly unstable and unpredictable, including in and around Damascus. There is a continuous threat of terrorist attacks, and armed clashes can occur without warning.
Coast and Central Governorates (Aleppo, Latakia, Tartus, Homs)
All these areas are subject to ongoing security risks, including the presence of armed groups, unexploded ordnance, and the potential for terrorism and conflict. Movement is extremely dangerous.
Palmyra and the Eastern Desert
These regions are highly volatile, with significant risks from terrorist activity, military operations, and remnants of war such as landmines and unexploded ordnance. Civilian presence is extremely hazardous.
North-East (Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor)
The north-eastern areas are highly dangerous due to active conflict, the presence of various armed groups, terrorist cells, and extensive contamination by unexploded ordnance. All travel is advised against.
South (Daraa, Suwayda)
These southern governorates face persistent insecurity, including intermittent clashes, kidnappings, and the risk of unexploded ordnances. The security situation is highly volatile and unpredictable.
North-West (Idlib)
This region is an active conflict zone with regular military operations, terrorist activity, and severe humanitarian challenges. It is considered one of the most dangerous areas in Syria.
